Family Medicine
Primary care is about relationships. It is a privilege to be invited into a patient’s life and to be trusted to care for them.
I chose family medicine because of the unique opportunity it provides to develop and nurture patient relationships over time. I believe that building trust and knowing what is important to each patient is key to helping guide medical decisions.
I believe strongly in evidence-based medicine and I want my patients to have the information they need to make the best possible decisions for their health. My goal is to be a partner in these decisions. Medicine is not one size fits all and I work together with my patients to determine what works best for them.
While I care for adults of all ages, my passion in medicine is senior health. I particularly enjoy work focused on enhancing quality of life at every stage.
I am a native Oregonian and I love the beautiful and diverse landscape that the Pacific Northwest offers. I’m married to a transplanted Englishman and we have two children who keep us very busy with sports and school activities. When not working, I enjoy working in the garden, reading, and travel.
