Nikita Ivanov, MD

Internal Medicine
The best medicine begins with taking the time to truly listen.

Some of my most meaningful moments as a doctor have come when patients told me they felt truly heard. Careful listening can reveal details that might otherwise be overlooked and is the first step toward understanding a complex set of symptoms. It also builds trust and a stronger doctor-patient relationship, an essential part of good care.

Whether guiding preventive health or managing complex conditions, I take an evidence-based, holistic approach that respects both mind and body. Medicine does not always provide immediate answers, and I am dedicated to supporting my patients through uncertainty until we find clarity. Direct primary care gives me the time and space to offer this kind of attentive, unhurried medicine.

I grew up in Portland and completed my Internal Medicine residency nearby at Legacy Emanuel and Good Samaritan. It is especially meaningful to continue caring for patients in the community where I grew up. Outside of medicine, I enjoy being outdoors in any capacity. Hiking, swimming, camping, and paddle boarding are some of my favorite things to do. I am also an avid reader with interests in history, engineering, and space exploration.
